Join us as we escape to the magical East Coast during the breathtaking fall season of 2027! Our Bar Harbor, Maine retreat will be filled with vibrant fall foliage, unforgettable visits to Acadia National Park, cozy nightly bonfires, book club gatherings, and so much more.

This is a co-ed retreat with accommodations designed for a variety of travel styles. We offer three private cottages for couples and partners, while the remaining cottages feature private rooms for individual guests. The only exception is the Lucy + Ethel cottage, where one room includes two twin beds, making it perfect for friends or family members traveling together.

This retreat welcomes women attending solo, women traveling with a friend or family member, and women attending with their partner. At this time, we are not able to offer attendee spots to men attending on their own. Men are welcome only when attending as the partner of a registered female (or identify as such) guest.

Frequently asked questions

If you need to cancel, you must contact danielle@bookisheventsmi.com at least 120 days before the event.

Paid-in-full tickets: You may receive a 75% event credit (for a future retreat) if you cancel at least 120 days in advance.
Payment plans not paid in full: No credit or refund is provided—all payments made are forfeited, and you remain responsible for the full balance.

Tickets are transferable up to 90 days before the event. You can use the Facebook group transfer thread to find a buyer and potentially recover your full cost. Bookish Retreats can also assist in finding someone for the transfer of the ticket (less 20% for processing and administration fees).

No credits or transfers are allowed within 90 days of the event. No refunds are given for late arrival, early departure, or any other circumstances. No exceptions are made for any reason.
