Cancellation, Refund & Credit Policy
Terms & Conditions — Bookish Retreats LLC
These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between each attendee and Bookish Retreats LLC. By registering for any retreat hosted by Bookish Retreats LLC, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies.
1. Booking & Payment

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a space and is applied toward the total retreat cost.

Full payment must be received by the deadline specified at the time of booking.

If a payment plan is selected, Attendee agrees to complete all scheduled payments.
-
Failure to complete payment obligations does not constitute cancellation and does not relieve Attendee of financial responsibility.
2. No Refund Policy
-
All payments made to Bookish Retreats LLC are final and non-refundable, without exception.
-
This includes, but is not limited to, cancellations due to illness, injury, travel disruptions, personal emergencies, weather conditions, acts of God, changes in employment, or scheduling conflicts.
-
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
3. Attendee Cancellations & Credits
-
Failure to attend a retreat for any reason does not entitle Attendee to a refund or credit.
-
Cancellations made within six (6) months of the retreat start date are not eligible for refund or credit, regardless of payment status.
Paid-in-Full Cancellations (More Than 6 Months Prior)
-
Attendees who have paid in full and cancel more than six (6) months prior to the retreat start date may receive a credit equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total amount paid.

Credits:
-
Must be used within twelve (12) months of the original retreat date
-
Are non-transferable
-
Have no cash value
-
May not be combined with other offers unless approved in writing
-
4. Payment Plan Cancellations
If Attendee is enrolled in a payment plan and elects to cancel:
-
If less than fifty percent (50%) of the total retreat cost has been paid, no credit will be issued
-
If fifty percent (50%) or more of the total retreat cost has been paid, Attendee may receive a credit equal to twenty-five percent (25%) of the total retreat cost
All credits are issued solely at the discretion of Bookish Retreats LLC and subject to availability.
5. Missed Payments & Reinstatement
-
If a scheduled payment is missed, Attendee has five (5) calendar days to cure the missed payment.
-
Failure to do so will result in immediate forfeiture of all amounts previously paid.

Reinstatement fees apply if payment privileges are restored:
-
First missed payment: $25
-
Second missed payment: $50
-
Third missed payment: $100
-
-
Repeated payment failures may result in permanent removal from future events hosted by Bookish Retreats LLC.
6. Transfer of Booking
-
Requests to transfer a booking to another individual must be submitted in writing and at least four (4) months prior to the retreat start date.
-
Transfers are not guaranteed and are approved at the sole discretion of Bookish Retreats LLC.

If a transfer is approved:
-
Attendee will receive a refund of amounts paid less a thirty percent (30%) administrative fee, inclusive of taxes and processing costs
-

Transfers are not permitted within four (4) months of the retreat start date.
-
Bookings may not be gifted, resold, or reassigned without written approval.
-
If transfer is not approved or requested after the deadline, the booking is forfeited without refund or credit.
7. Retreat Modifications or Cancellation by Company

Bookish Retreats LLC reserves the right to modify, postpone, reschedule, or cancel any retreat due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

In such cases, Attendee’s sole remedy shall be:

Transfer to a future retreat, or
-
Credit toward another Bookish Retreats LLC event
-
-
No cash refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
8. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
-
Attendee assumes all risks associated with participation in retreat activities.

Bookish Retreats LLC is not responsible for:
-
Travel arrangements or costs
-
Delays, cancellations, or disruptions related to transportation
-
Injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to personal property
-

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Attendee releases and holds harmless Bookish Retreats LLC from any and all claims arising before, during, or after the retreat.
9. Code of Conduct
-
Attendees are required to conduct themselves in a respectful and lawful manner.
-
Bookish Retreats LLC reserves the right to remove any Attendee whose behavior is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.
-
Removal for misconduct does not entitle Attendee to a refund or credit.
10. Media Release
-
By attending, Attendee grants Bookish Retreats LLC the irrevocable right to use photographs, audio, or video recordings taken during the retreat for marketing and promotional purposes.
-
Requests to opt out must be submitted in writing prior to the retreat.
11. Governing Law & Agreement
-
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State in which Bookish Retreats LLC is registered.
-
By completing registration and submitting payment, Attendee confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full.
