Terms & Conditions — Bookish Retreats LLC

These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between each attendee and Bookish Retreats LLC. By registering for any retreat hosted by Bookish Retreats LLC, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies.

1. Booking & Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a space and is applied toward the total retreat cost.

  • Full payment must be received by the deadline specified at the time of booking.

  • If a payment plan is selected, Attendee agrees to complete all scheduled payments.

  • Failure to complete payment obligations does not constitute cancellation and does not relieve Attendee of financial responsibility.

2. No Refund Policy

  • All payments made to Bookish Retreats LLC are final and non-refundable, without exception.

  • This includes, but is not limited to, cancellations due to illness, injury, travel disruptions, personal emergencies, weather conditions, acts of God, changes in employment, or scheduling conflicts.

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against unforeseen circumstances.

3. Attendee Cancellations & Credits

  • Failure to attend a retreat for any reason does not entitle Attendee to a refund or credit.

  • Cancellations made within five (5) months of the retreat start date are not eligible for refund or credit, regardless of payment status.

Paid-in-Full Cancellations (More Than 5 Months Prior)

  • Attendees who have paid in full and cancel more than five (5) months prior to the retreat start date may receive a credit equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total amount paid.

  • Credits:

    • Must be used within twelve (12) months of the original retreat date

    • Are non-transferable

    • Have no cash value

    • May not be combined with other offers unless approved in writing

4. Payment Plan Cancellations

If Attendee is enrolled in a payment plan and elects to cancel:

  • If less than seventy-five percent (75%) of the total retreat cost has been paid, no credit will be issued

  • If fifty percent (75%) or more of the total retreat cost has been paid, Attendee may receive a credit equal to twenty-five percent (25%) of the total retreat cost

All credits are issued solely at the discretion of Bookish Retreats LLC and subject to availability.

5. Transfers

If Attendee would like to transfer their ticket, they may do so with the following:

  • If the event is 4 months or more out, you may post your ticket for sale on our resale thread located on our BR Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/share/QqgjLTWoyuXwP3h2/?mibextid=K35XfP)

  • The attendee may post the ticket for sale for equal to or less of the original amount paid

  • Once transferred, the original attendee must contact Danielle with the name, proof of purchase, and email of the new attendee.

  • Tickets cannot be transferred for Bookish Camp.

6. Missed Payments & Reinstatement

  • If a scheduled payment is missed, Attendee has five (5) calendar days to cure the missed payment.

  • Failure to do so will result in immediate forfeiture of all amounts previously paid.

  • Reinstatement fees apply if payment privileges are restored:

    • First missed payment: $25

    • Second missed payment: $50

    • Third missed payment: $100

  • Repeated payment failures may result in permanent removal from future events hosted by Bookish Retreats LLC.

6. Retreat Modifications or Cancellation by Company

  • Bookish Retreats LLC reserves the right to modify, postpone, reschedule, or cancel any retreat due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

  • In such cases, Attendee’s sole remedy shall be:

8. Code of Conduct

  • Attendees are required to conduct themselves in a respectful and lawful manner.

  • Bookish Retreats LLC reserves the right to remove any Attendee whose behavior is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.

  • Removal for misconduct does not entitle Attendee to a refund or credit.

9. Media Release

  • By attending, Attendee grants Bookish Retreats LLC the irrevocable right to use photographs, audio, or video recordings taken during the retreat for marketing and promotional purposes.

  • Requests to opt out must be submitted in writing prior to the retreat.
