The City Flats Hotel has rooms available for first come first serve and are very limited. Please contact them at 616.608.1720 and ask to be in the "Bookish Ball Rooms" block. Residence Inn by Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott, Hyatt Place Grand Rapids, and Homewood Suites by Hilton are all hotels in the area as well.
